Licensing & Pricing
Free for personal use. Paid licenses for commercial work — perpetual, no subscription, no cloud activation.
Two ways in. Same software.
Bridger has a free tier for non-commercial use and paid tiers for commercial work. Every tier unlocks every feature — there's no license server, no phone-home, and no usage reporting on any tier. What differs is whether money is changing hands, what kind of support is included, and (for the free tier) a quarterly re-download to keep the build current.
Paid licenses include an 18-month free update window. After that, the version you have keeps working indefinitely. Newer builds are available at an upgrade price — roughly half the original license fee. Nothing forces the upgrade.
All features. Every tier.
Flexible ingestion
Import source and target schemas from CSV, DDL, JSON, or Excel. All formats normalize to the same internal model.
Full column-level mapping
Transformation logic, status tracking, indicators, notations, and source group relationships — all in one place.
Reusable logic library
Store common transformation patterns centrally. Push updates to any project that references a library item.
Complex source modeling
Model many-to-one source relationships — multiple legacy tables feeding a single target — as first-class constructs.
Local LLM integration
Connect to a local Ollama model for mapping suggestions and logic review. Your schema data never leaves your machine.
Client-ready deliverables
Generate formatted Excel reports and dialect-aware SQL validation scripts directly from your mapping workbook.
Workbook collaboration
Compare workbooks from multiple team members, review diffs, and merge selectively. Built for distributed migration teams.
Rule-based automation
Define auto-mapping rules to handle predictable column patterns across large schemas. Review and override as needed.
Try it. Use it. No charge.
Bridger is free to download and try as long as you'd like — without a license, it runs in Trial mode (read-only). For non-commercial use, request a free Personal license that unlocks the full product. Personal licenses are keyed to your machine, and the build itself expires the first of each quarter; re-download the latest build to keep going. Builds released within two weeks of quarter end carry through to the following quarter, so a late-quarter download still gives you a clean three months.

What's covered out of the box
Included hours are there to get you running — onboarding your first workbook, understanding the import format, setting up your library. They don't expire within the first year of your license.

- Individual — 1 hour included
- Team — 5 hours included
- Enterprise — negotiated
The honest version
Bridger licenses are tied to your hardware. Each paid license is issued for a single workstation, perpetually. We know hardware dies and help desks replace machines — we'll rekey you when that happens. Individual and team licenses include one rekey per seat per year; if you need more, just reach out and we'll sort it out. Additional seats are available at the Team rate with volume discounts. There's no subscription, no phone-home, and no feature holdback. Pay once, use the program forever.
Support is paid because our time has a cost. Included support hours and the hourly rate exist so paying users have something concrete to count on — we've committed, in writing, to be there when you need help. We don't extend that commitment to free users, but it isn't because we don't want to.
We've been on the other side of this — the guys who needed a tool like this and couldn't justify the budget for it. That's the reason the Personal tier exists at all. If you're using Bridger for free, the documentation and the FAQ are the right starting points.
